Lactoferrin is a complex iron-binding protein extracted from milk which has antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant properties.

Lactoferrin is designated as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is primarily used in infant formulas, health supplements, oral care and cosmetics.

APS will be extracting lactoferrin from milk using a novel, proprietary process. APS lactoferrin will be spray dried and agglomerated to maximize its efficacy and solubility. It will be available as an ingredients in bulk and in consumer ready packaging.
